This morning the nurse told us that Michael is up to 3lbs 1 ounce which is great. He is really doing well. He is up to 9cc's of breast milk every 3 hours and we have been working on getting him familiar with breast feeding. Right now his feedings are through his feeding tube but he has a great sucking reflex when it comes to his pacifier and a bottle nipple. Within the week they will probably try to get him to eat on his own. He is digesting all his feedings and peeing and pooping like a champ. :) The PICC line was put in last night and his belly line was taken out so his belly can heal. The PICC line won't be in long but long enough until he is getting all the nutrition he needs via feedings. Grandmom and Grandpop Levesque visited today to see how their grandson was doing!
