Michael is 8 weeks old!
Hard to believe that Michael is 8 weeks old today!!! He is thriving at home and as of yesterday weighed in at 5 pounds 4 ounces. He has officially doubled his birth weight of 2lbs 10 ounces. He is still on an every 3 hour feeding schedule and doing pretty well sleeping at night. Our days are pretty much the same and soon we'll be doing some tummy time during the day. He's definitely a mover!

An Exciting New Year!
Sorry I haven't updated the blog in a bit....as many of you know, Michael came home around 7:00pm on December 29, 2008. The first night home was very nerve wracking for us and Hershey was also very wound up and curious. Michael has been home now over a week and we are settling in to a routine.
I am happy to say that he is now weighing 4 pounds 12 ounces and on average seems to be gaining an ounce a day :) He will be on a 22 calorie formula for at least a month or two. He sleeps well but seems to be a bit restless at night - our visiting nurse says sometimes NICU babies take time to adjusting their sleep at night - in a dark environment. Yes we are tired but it's all worth it.
I am hoping to stay out of work until March. We have weekly pedi appointments and a follow up eye and hearing test coming up. Overall, Michael is very healthy and we are so proud of him...and..well..ourselves. Hershey is pretty calm now but we never leave those two alone.
